

Intake
- Disconnect negative battery terminal.
- Remove DME cover and disconnect cables by pulling back thumbtabs*.
- Loosen hose clamps securing intake boot to airbox
and plastic intake runner to radiator shroud (slip a narrow flathead
screwdriver under the clip and twist).
- Loosen two 8mm fasteners at front of airbox.
- Disconnect battery jumper terminal from top of
airbox.
- Push back and lift away airbox lid.
- Lift out stock air filter.
- Remove the plastic intake runner by pulling it
from the bottom of the airbox and twisting it clockwise. (fig.1)

- Remove 10mm bolt holding airbox to trans mount at
lower right side of airbox.
- Pop the rear airbox bushings free by grabbing the
intake hole that runs back to the cowl and pulling the box up.
- Release jumper cables from airbox clips, then
remove airbox and set aside.
- Remove bushing posts at bottom of cowl piece with
15mm box end wrench*. (fig.2)

- Remove two 8mm fasteners at left of cowl.
- Remove plastic Phillips head fastener on right of
cowl and discard.
- Remove cowl piece and set aside.
- Replace 15mm bushing posts.
- Replace box bottom, making sure rubber bushings
are still correctly attached.
- Return battery cables to clips. (fig.3)

- Replace plastic intake runner in bottom of airbox.
- Attach new filter to intake flange, tighten hose
clamp – notice that filter is slightly offset – the filter should lean down.
- Attach new cowl piece to the driver’s side
mounting point with included screw and nylock nut.
- Place the filter and heat shield assembly onto the
airbox bottom, lining up the holes into the cowl at the left side.
- Re-attach 8mm fasteners on passenger side of
airbox, ensuring that the fasteners secure both the heat shield and cowl piece.
- Attach the Phillips head metal screws into the
front of the airbox, securing the heat shield to the airbox.
- Replace 10mm bolt at the right bottom of the
airbox to secure it to the motor mount.
- Attach the intake boot to the new intake flange
and secure the stock hose clamp by grabbing the clip and hook with pliers and
pinching together*.
- Replace weather stripping.
- Reconnect battery negative terminal.
