The “Braille” battery (11.5 lb) is designed for rally racing, but but can also be used for daily use. There is no easier way to drop 25 or more pounds from your MINI. Do as Colin Chapman did and "add lightness" to improve performance. These drycell units have true deepcycle charge capability, meaning that they can be heavily discharged and recharged repeatedly without weakening over time.
Rival batteries come nowhere close to the cranking power of the Braille unit. With a whopping 360 cold cranking amps available, they outgun the typical competition's 260CCA by almost 40%. In terms of amp/hours (the size of the electrical "gas tank"), batteries with equivalent capacity weigh 20% - 30% more. Thus, there is no better blend of high power, large capacity, and low weight.

For those of us that love autocross and track events, there is one problem with the trunk space: It gets easily beaten up by wheels, tires, jacks and tools. Well that's a thing of the past thanks to the Bag Lady. Hauling cargo or your furry friends is a snap with this liner, custom made to fit your MINI. It features Velcro on the bottom to secure it in place and straps that neatly fasten to the front seat headrests. An extra flap of material extends over the rear bumper to prevent scratches. That same flap doubles as a storage bag. Fold the entire liner up into the bag to store it when not in use. Liner is made of sturdy cotton duck fabric with a layer of batting in between for some padding.
